GENTLEMAN'S MAGAZINE

Price: $400.00
Date: 1772
Condition: Very Good
Size: 7-1/4" x 13-1/2"

Map by James Lodge, published to promote a newly proposed plantation up the Mississippi river from New Orleans. Purposely simple in its depiction of the region. An inset shows the layout of the plantation, with docks and a note about the river ‘2000 feet across and 60 fathoms deep'. An apparent planned canal connects to the Iberville River. Clean bright paper, later color. Folds as issued, good margins. One tiny pin hole well outside area of interest.  Published in London, February 1772.
